President Vo Van Thuong, his spouse, and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam arrived at Vienna International Airport on July 23 afternoon (local time), starting an official visit to Austria.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the first visit to Vietnam by Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg during a reception for the latter in Hanoi on April 17.

Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son paid an official visit to Austria on September 28 and 29, which is an important event when the two countries are marking the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties (1972-2022).
