Under the signed contract, HADUCO will provide seven multi-purpose oil and gas service vessels for ONGC's offshore oil and gas exploration and production activities over three years.

At the signing ceremony, Do Thanh Hai, counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy in India, noted that the contract would help open up fresh opportunities for future co-operation among businesses of the two countries.

Strengthening Vietnam-India trade ties can be seen as not only beneficial to both sides, but also useful to promoting maritime connectivity, thereby contributing to stability and development in the Indo-Pacific region, he said.

For his part, Pham Xuan Thang, chairman of the Board of Directors of HADUCO, expressed his keen desire to maintain and ramp up co-operation between HADUCO and ONGC, while pledging to provide high-quality services and ensuring absolute and effective safety for ONGC's exploration and production activities in India.
