VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese fighters won six of eight gold medals at an international taekwondo tournament, the President Cup, in HCM City on Saturday.

The women dominated, with all four titles won by Nguyen Thi Trang in the U49kg pool, Tran Thi Tuyet in the U57kg, Pham Thi Thu Hien in the U67kg and Bac Thi Khiem in the U67kg.

On the men’s side, Hong Minh Cao took the U80 event, while Tran Hong Tien topped the over-80kg. Two other titles went to Ramnarong Sawekwihare in the U58kg and Nuhbanee Klong in the U68kg, both from Thailand.

Athletes will next participate at the VTF Cup for team categories which is one of activities to celebrate the Viet Nam Taekwondo Federation’s 20th anniversary.
