Striker Tran Thi Hai Linh scored a hat trick and her partner Nguyen Thi Thu Hien snatched a double to help the hosts lead 5-0 at half time as the match kicked off at Thong Nhat Stadium in a lovely weather condition in HCM City.
Viet Nam continued dominating the match, which is played on a size-reduced pitch in two periods of 35 minutes apiece, after the break and Linh scored her fourth and fifth goals one each side of the substitute Dao Thi Hien's goal to complete the rout.
In the previous match, the Philippines easily beat Singapore 6-0.
