Secretary General of the Hague Conference Hans Van Loon on Wednesday gave Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Justice (MOJ) Hoang The Lien a notification in The Hague. The notification signifies the official acceptance of Viet Nam as a member state from April 10, 2013 after Viet Nam got the vote from the majority of the member states.
According to the MOJ, the accession to the Hague Conference will mark the intensive and extensive integration of Viet Nam into the international legal sector.
"It shows Viet Nam's willingness to cooperate with other countries to support each other in dealing with the management of the legal requirements of international justice," said Vice Minister Lien.
The Hague Conference is an intergovernmental organisation which was founded in 1893 to serve global demands for cross-border solutions to disputes or transactions in civil and commercial matters.
