The UN Day of Vesak 2019 with the theme "Buddhist approach to global leadership and shared responsibility for sustainable society" held on May 12-14, 2019 at Tam Chuc Pagoda, Ha Nam Province, took place successful.
Vesak is a cultural and religious festival to honor, praise and promote the moral values, the good and harmonious spirit of the Buddha.
National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on May 15 visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council on the occasion of the Buddha’s 2563rd birthday.
Large numbers of worshippers took part in the Buddha bathing ritual to pray for global peace at the UN Day of Vesak 2019 celebrations which transpired in northern Ha Nam province on May 12.
Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vu Chien Thang on May 12 received delegates from China, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand who are in Vietnam to attend the United Nations Day of Vesak 2019.
The 16th United Nations Days of Vesak (UNDV) will be held at the Tam Chuc Buddhism Culture Centre, Kim Bang District, in the northern province of Ha Nam from May 12-14.
Vesak 2019, or the 16th United Nations Day of Vesak (UNDV), will be celebrated at the Tam Chuc Buddhism Culture Centre, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam from May 12-14, marking it as the third event of its kind to be held in Vietnam.
