VietNamNet Bridge – Famous designer Van Thanh Cong released his evening gown collection  decorated with gems and featuring gold and metallic colors in the "Fashion and Passion" show in HCM City on Friday night.

The collection "Golden Imprint", with its special colors, follows global trends. Gold foil is inlaid on the front of the gowns, as well as pearls.

The designer said that all the designs were handmade over several months, and the gilded details focused on the curves of a woman's body. The designs use Ha Dong golden silk and chiffon.

Cong said the collection was inspired by the phoenix and motifs on ancient Dong Son bronze drums of Vietnam.

Another highlight of the collection was a gold-plated hat with engravings similar to those on Dong Son bronze drums.
