Many photos featuring Vietnamese people living with polluted air have been put on display at an on-going photo exhibition on plastic waste in Ho Chi Minh City.
As many as 300 people from 60 households living in disaster- and climate change-affected areas in the Cuu Long Delta are benefiting from an organic vegetable model which is part of a two-year capacity-building project.
Duc Thuan of Ha Dong District bought a car with a Euro 4 emission standard after specific regulations were issued for such models in Viet Nam. However, he said, finding Euro 4 fuel is “a whole other challenge”.
Mr. Tat Thanh Cang, deputy chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, said it is impossible to extend the removal deadline on December 31 to polluting businesses in the city, at a meeting on Wednesday.
