The courses will provide young Vietnamese researchers with essential skills for better research quality and more effective transfer of research results in line with the UK’s Research Excellence Framework.

The five-day courses will kick off in Hanoi, Danang and HCMC from May 27, June 3, and June 10 respectively. They are open to researchers with more than three years of experience who are currently working at universities, institutes or businesses.

The program is funded and organized by the Vietnam Institute of Science Technology and Innovation and the British Council.

The Newton Fund, managed by the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, builds research and innovation partnerships with 17 partner countries to support their economic development and social welfare and to develop their research and innovation capacity for long-term sustainable growth.

It has a total UK Government investment of 735 million pounds until 2021, with matched resources from the partner countries. SGT
