Heat 1 saw four swimmers compete for final berths, and Thanh Hai finished second with a time of 1 minute 35.41 seconds.

L. McCrea from Switzerland reached the finish line first with a time of 1 minute 32.44 seconds.

In Heat 2, Tien Dat finished third after 1 minute 36.01 seconds, progressing on to the final alongside two swimmers from Ukraine and one swimmer from Spain.

Antoni Ponce Bertran from Spain came first with a time of 1 minute 30.45 seconds.

The final competition of the men’s 100m breaststroke SB5 is scheduled to take place on September 1 evening (Paris time).

The two Vietnamese swimmers will find it hard to get a medal when it comes to the results of their opponents form Spain and Switzerland.

The 2024 Paris Paralympic Games is getting underway in France from August 28 to September 9, featuring a total of 22 sports and 23 disciplines with 549 events.

Vietnamese athletes vie for one or two medals in three sports, namely athletics, swimming, and weightlifting.
