VietNamNet Bridge - Hitting a rock on the road, a Lao tourist car carrying 15 people, including two Vietnamese, lost control and plunged into an abyss. Two people died and 10 others were injured. All of them are being treated at hospital in Nghe An province, Vietnam.

Mr. Xong Giong Xanh, a victim who is being treated at the Nghe An General Hospital, said that at 4pm on August 10, the 24-seat car carrying 15 people who are relatives in the same family, hit a big rock on the road in Vien Thong district, Laos. The car lost control and fell into an abyss at the depth of 10 meters.
"I was sleeping then suddenly felt the bus wheeling for about 20 seconds before it plunged into the abyss. Everybody shouted and cried. I crawled out of the bus and saw many people wounded on their faces and their limbs..." Xanh said.
According to Xanh, all four people in his famiy, including himself, his wife and his two sons were injured. His wife – Mrs. Va Y Ma, 33, a native of Nghe An was seriously injured. He and his wife were moved to the Nghe An General Hospital. Their two sons suffered minder wounds.
The Nghe An General Hospital said they received 7 patients in the bus accident in Laos, with five people with brain injuries. In addition to Va Y Ma, there is another Vietnamese named Xong Ba Chu, also 33 years old, a native of Nghe An.
The Children's Hospital of Nghe An also received three victims.
