Nguyen Michal is ready for the challenge in the Vietnam team

Another overseas Vietnamese player - Nguyen Michal - has also completed the procedures to return home to find an opportunity at the national team.

Receiving the summons of the VFF, Vietnamese player in Czechs Mac Hong Quan has canceled his plan to trial at the Hertha Berlin club to return to Vietnam.

Quan spent several days in Ho Chi Minh City with his mother before going to Hanoi on January 20 to prepare for the test at the national team.

Compared to the last return to join the U22 team last year, this time Mac Hong Quan is highly appreciated and is expected to create many new features for the Vietnamese team.

From the position of a midfielder specialized in organizing attacks, coach Hoang Van Phuc now uses Quan as a striker. With three goals scored for the U22 Vietnam last year (the best scorer for the U22 Vietnam at the U22 Asia 2013 qualifier), Quan has proved himself as a good striker.

Hong Quan said he was very nervous before the gathering with the national team. The dream has come true, but Quan would have to try harder to be given an official position.

Meanwhile, the VFF said that the representative of Nguyen Michal informed that the player and his father were completing procedures to return to Vietnam for a test with the national team. However, Nguyen Michal is not convened to the team this time, but the next time.

Nguyen Michal is 24 years old, 1m86 tall, weighing 80 kg. He can play in defense and midfield positions. He is a player of the Banik Most FC in the second tier of the Czech Republic.

If the trial is successful, both Mac Hong Quan and Nguyen Michal are expected to be the new factors to help the national team flourish.

More importantly, the success of the two players will stimulate other overseas Vietnamese players to return home.
