Many universities in the US have announced their award of scholarships to Vietnamese top swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien.

Dinh Viet Hung, general secretary of Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association said some universities have even committed to offering full scholarships to Anh Vien. 

These invitations were made after her recent outstanding achievements. 

In 2015, Anh Vien won six gold medals and broke eight SEA Games records. She also broke the record at the 2016 Asian tourney. 

She has clinched two gold medals at Speedo Sectionals 2017 in Indianapolis, the US.

Anh Vien has graduated from high school and is making every effort in learning and commanding English. 

She has not decided what university to study in the time ahead yet.
