The new laboratory was built within twelve months, despite supply chain constraints, and is fully equipped with world-class services, offering a comprehensive range of testing and certification solutions for the electrical & electronics sector, that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
With its 330 square metres, the new laboratory will complement TÜV SÜD’s existing ISO 17025 laboratories which already support manufacturers and sourcing houses in Vietnam with a complete consumer products portfolio of test services to enable them in meeting their export destination certification requirements.
The new facility will focus on testing luminaries, home appliances, IT equipment, weatherproof products up to IP67 and other electric components. It further strengthens the company’s presence across the consumer products market, building on its capabilities in chemical testing, environment testing and performance testing for a wide range of product categories.
It complements the existing hardlines, softlines, food and chemical capabilities to support the full spectrum of consumer products testing for retail and sourcing clients. Through its global laboratory network, TÜV SÜD is well positioned to provide EMC testing facilities to the broader industry.
“Making life as safe and secure as possible is extremely important. I am very happy to witness another milestone in TÜV SÜD’s contribution to this goal in Vietnam,” Dr. Josefine Wallat, Consul General of Germany in HCM City said at the inauguration ceremony.
