Tuan Hung becomes first Vietnamese singer invited to perform at Super Bowl

The singer on September 10 spoke with VietNamNet about the performance at the Super Bowl, the annual football match to determine the champion of the National Football League (NFL). The event is organized on the first Sunday of February every year, and is called Super Bowl Sunday.

Hung said the Super Bowl is a big event in the US as stars in the world are invited but are not paid. All the items of the program are choreographed in a meticulous way. Program organizers arrange musical performances to increase the appeal for audiences attending the event.

“I am the first person in Asia and in Vietnam invited by the organizing board, which I would have never imagined,” Hung said.

“When informed about this two weeks ago, I felt as if I was having a dream and did not think it was the truth. Only when receiving the formal invitation could I believe in it,” he added.

He said this is the first step for Vietnamese artists to have more opportunities to meet and exchange views, and learn from the world’s artists. Hung said he has to improve his skills in singing voice, dance and music so that his performance fits the musical color of the program.

Hung shared the good news on his personal page, receiving congratulations from colleagues and fans. When Jennifer Pham, Miss Asia USA 2006, congratulated Hung, the famous singer replied that he was happy and proud of himself.

Hung will perform at the Super Bowl Pre-came warm up, slated for February 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada in the US, an event within the framework of Super Bowl, which attracts 10,000 spectators.

The organizing board in the invitation letter said that it believes his musical talent and  performance will appeal to audiences. The participation of the world’s artists at the event will contribute to a truly remarkable sports and entertainment celebration.

Tuan Hung is a renowned pop singer who has been in the music industry for two decades.
