A truck became stuck on a railway track in Da Nang while attempting to make a U-turn near the Le Do railway crossing, causing delays for two trains.

On March 27, the Railway Traffic Police Team No. 2 (under Department 6, Traffic Police Department) handed over the case of the stranded truck to relevant authorities for processing.
Earlier, Da Nang Station received a report at around 10:20 a.m. about a truck with license plate 43C - 262.81 stalled on the railway track at km 790+550, near the Le Do crossing in Thanh Khe District.
Upon receiving the report, the station dispatched personnel to block the railway section and coordinate with local authorities to remove the truck from the tracks.
Local forces and residents promptly conducted rescue efforts and successfully moved the truck off the railway at 10:47 a.m.
The incident caused a 31-minute delay for train SE6, which had to wait at Da Nang Station, and train HD1 was delayed by 11 minutes while stopped at Thanh Khe section.
Dangerous and costly incident
The Railway Traffic Police Team No. 2 transferred the case to Da Nang Traffic Police for further handling and issued a record for “placing obstacles on railway tracks, obstructing railway traffic”.
The truck driver was fined more than 1 million VND (about 42 USD) for causing a 42-minute train delay.
Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred when the truck driver made a U-turn near the railway crossing on Le Do Street, leading to the vehicle getting stuck on the tracks.
The Railway Traffic Police Team No. 2 warned that such actions are extremely dangerous and pose a high risk of serious traffic accidents.
