The new tropical depression in the East Sea.

According to the National Center for Hydrometeorology Forecast of Vietnam, by 7 am on 30/7, the tropical depression will be about 700km to the east of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa Archipelago (the Paracels). The strongest winds in the center will be at level 6 (from 39 to 49 km per hour).

Due to the impact of the depression, from tonight (29/7), wind will get stronger to level 6 in the East and there will be showers and thunderstorms.

Also due to the impacts of southwest monsoon, the waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and the southern East Sea (including the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands) will have strong southwest wind at level 5 and 6, with heavy rain and strong thunderstorms.

It is also forecast that rain will continue in the next two days in northern Vietnam, causing flooding and landslides in some localities.
