VietNamNet Bridge – Three music concerts will be held in HCMC, Hanoi and Hue on May 23, May 30, and June 6 respectively in commemoration of the late famous musician Trinh Cong Son.

The concerts this year are being organized by his family, Phu My Hung Corp., Thanh Nien Media Corp., and the communication firm Le Bros.

The HCMC concert will take place at the Crescent Lake in Phu My Hung Town in District 7, marking the fourth year in a row this location has been chosen for Trinh Cong Son music show.

For the first time Hanoians will have the opportunity to go to a concert featuring signature songs by Trinh Cong Son.

Titled “Noi vong tay lon” (circle of unity), also the name of a well-known song by the musician, the show in Phu My Hung will feature 26 songs about the country and the fatherland.

Under the arrangement of director Nguyen Quang Dung and saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, the event will gather some popular artists including Cam Van, Hong Nhung, Thanh Lam, My Linh, Duc Tuan, Tung Duong, and especially groups of orphaned and blind students.

The Crescent Lake performance area will be opened from 4 p.m. for spectators to join community activities and savor food and beverages before the start of the concert at 7:30 p.m.

Free tickets for the show can be collected at the Crescent Mall from 7 a.m. on Sunday on the first-come-first-served basis. The organizers will also keep 2,000 tickets for Trinh Cong Son enthusiasts who should email to [email protected] or [email protected] to book a seat.

In previous years, the Trinh Cong Son music show always attracted large numbers of viewers in HCMC with more than 25,000 in 2012, nearly 30,000 in 2013, and more than 35,000 last year.
