Starting his career as a specialist at the Office of the Long An Provincial People’s Committee, Chinh has held several critical roles in Long An, including Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Secretary of the Thu Thua District Party Committee, and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee.

He was later elected Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee and, in January 2015, was appointed as Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission.

His new appointment as Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission follows the reassignment of Bui Thi Minh Hoai, who was recently appointed Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

With these appointments, the Central Economic Commission is now led by Tran Luu Quang, supported by three Deputy Heads: Nguyen Duy Hung, Nguyen Hong Son, and Nguyen Duc Hien.

Meanwhile, the Central Mass Mobilization Commission is headed by Mai Van Chinh, with five Deputy Heads: Pham Tat Thang (Permanent Deputy Head), Do Van Phoi, Nguyen Lam, Bui Tuan Quang, and Trieu Tai Vinh.
