VietNamNet Bridge - A car from Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, carrying more than 20 tourists, turned over on Highway 8A in Khamkot District, Bolikhamxay Province, Laos at 8.30am on June 11.

The accident occurred 80km from the Vietnam-Laos border gate. The road is good but has dangerous bends, where many accidents were reported.

The accident caused casualties for over 20 people. The car and the driver were captured by Lao police for investigation.

According to initial information, this is the car of A Dong Travel Company, which is based in Ha Long City. The car carried a group of tourists from Quang Ninh to Laos. The vehicle was on the way back to Nghe An, Vietnam when it overturned.

After the accident, the victims were helped by pedestrians and local people. They were transported to the Nghe An Hospital for treatment.
