The organizing committee for the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball awards has announced the top five male players with the highest votes. Familiar faces like Tien Linh, Hoang Duc, Quang Hai, and Tuan Hai made the list, alongside a surprise contender, Thanh Chung.

Thanh Chung, a standout center-back for Hanoi FC and the Vietnam national team, earned his spot in the top five thanks to his stellar performances in the 2024 ASEAN Cup.

The top five nominees for the men’s Golden Ball award include:

Hoang Duc and Tien Linh are considered frontrunners for the prestigious award, thanks to their consistent contributions to both their clubs and the national team.

In the women’s category, three players from Ho Chi Minh City FC - Huynh Nhu, Thuy Trang, and Tuyet Ngan -are competing against Truc Huong and Duong Thi Van from Than Khoang San Vietnam FC.
