On the morning of July 1, the To Lich River was green as West Lake discharged water, clearing the flow, and there was no longer any garbage as usual.

However, just one day later, on the morning of July 2, the To Lich River water quickly turned dark black again.

At the discharge gate area at the intersection of Hoang Quoc Viet - Buoi Street, due to ongoing riverbed construction, only one side was carrying water. Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, a worker at the site, shared: "Yesterday, the water was very green, but this morning when I went to work, I saw it was cloudy and black again."

Only about 5 meters from the discharge area, the river water started to change color.

Along Lang Road, many places were clogged with black mud, and the water in the middle of the stream was foaming.

Mr. Vu Son, a local resident, mentioned that the stench had decreased significantly due to heavy rain and the fresh water from West Lake. "However, the To Lich River is so heavily polluted that I see the water quickly turning black again," said Mr. Son.

At an intersection, wastewater drains flow into the To Lich River. People on the sidewalks around this area still feel an unpleasant smell.
