VietNamNet Bridge – The police of My Tho City in Tien Giang Province on June 8 caught Judge Pham Hoai Nam of the People's Court of My Tho City and a woman named Tran Ngoc Dieu, 22, in the act of using drugs at a hotel.

At around 2pm on June 8, the police conducted an administrative inspection at the Trung Luong hotel in My Tho City and detected the 40-year-old judge and a young woman in a hotel room.

Checking the room, the police found a plastic bag containing white powder, which was believed as drugs and several tools serving drug use. Urine test results showed both of them being positive to methamphetamine.

The Judge and the woman confessed that they took drugs together for months at the hotel.

On June 12, Mr. Tran Ngoc Quang, Tien Giang Province People's Court Judge, said he had suspended Judge Nam from his job for two months for investigation.

An official of the Can Tho People's Court said Nam had not been to the office for the last few days. He did not submit a report on the incident at the request of the My Tho City Court.

Quang said: "If Judge Nam keeps not cooperating with us, the People's Court of Can Tho will take strong measures to handle this case."
