VietNamNet Bridge – The tickets for the opening game of the U19 International Football Tournament in HCM City were sold out in one and 20 minutes, showing Vietnamese fans’ unprecedented enthusiasm.

Hundreds of people struggle to buy football tickets.

The organizers began selling the tickets at 9am on December 28 at the Thong Nhat Stadium, HCM City. There are three kinds of tickets, pricing at VND150,000 ($7.2), VND100,000 ($5) and VND50,000 ($2.5).

Hundreds of fans lined up from 8am to buy tickets. Within only one hour on the morning and 20 minutes in the afternoon, all of the tickets were sold.

When the organizers closed the ticket stalls, a long line of fans left in disappointment. Some had to buy tickets from the black market.

The tournament attracts the fan’s unprecedented attention thanks to the participation of the U19 national team and some international football clubs like U19 AS Roma and U19 Tottenham.

The Vietnam U19 team recently performed very well and received huge support from the fans. The team is considered the new hope of Vietnam football. At the same time, the U23 national team suffered from big failure at the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar.

The opening game between U19 Tottenham and U19 Japan will take place at 3.40pm on January 1. The second game will start at 6pm, the same day.
