VietNamNet Bridge – The wedding of a male and a female twin was held recently in Vinh Hanh commune in Chau Phu district, the southern province of An Giang. The grooms are Phan Thanh Ut and Phan Hoang Ut and the brides are Nguyen Thi Nhan and Nguyen Thi Nhin, 24.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong, the brides’ father, said, before the lunar New Year 2013, an acquaintance match-made Thanh Ut and Nhan. During the meeting between the two families, Mr. Phan Van Tuong, the groom’s father saw the twin sister of his future daughter-in-law so he expressed his intention of marrying Nhin for Hoang Ut.

Cong consulted other family members, particularly his daughter – Nguyen Thi Nhin. Nhin –worker of a seafood processing enterprise - agreed to get married with the man of the same age. To practice thrift, the wedding for two twins was held on April 28.

The wedding of two twins stirred up the region. Mrs. Phan Thi Danh, 75, said this is the first twin-twin wedding that she has been witnessed in her life.

Seeing the brides and grooms who are exactly the same, many people wonder whether they mistake each other. Thanh Ut explained that though they are similar in appearance, but they have specific characteristics in their eyes, smile, etc. "My husband and I also have private gestures and actions so we cannot mistake with Hoang Ut and his wife," said Thanh Ut.
