According to Space.com, the Taurid meteor showers consisting of the Southern Taurids and Northern Taurids serves as a highlight for stargazers every Autumn.

This year, Vietnam will welcome the Southern Taurids peak on the night of November 4 and in early morning on November 5. Meanwhile, the Northern Taurids are expected to reach their peak on the night of November 11 and in the early morning of November 12.

It also quoted NASA meteor expert Bill Cooke as saying that the Taurids produce only a handful of visible meteors per hour.

"The Taurids are rich in fireballs, so if you see a Taurid it can be very brilliant and it'll knock your eyes out but their rates absolutely suck,” the expert noted.

Space.com stressed that last year, viewing conditions for the South Taurid meteor shower will be favourable, with the moon only about 15% illuminated during the peak, thereby allowing for a better visibility of meteors.

“However, the North Taurid meteor shower may be impacted by the moon’s 84% illumination, which could obscure some of the fainter meteors,” it concluded.
