VietNamNet Bridge – The value of the architecture and exquisite beauty of the Hanoi Cathedral and the Cua Bac Church are still praised after nearly 100 years.
The Hanoi Cathedral is located on Nha Trung Street. This area is the venue of tourists and young people.
The church was built by brick, at a cost of about 200,000 francs, from 1884 to 1888.
The cathedral is considered one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Vietnam.
The cathedral, with its curved arches, was built in the Gothic style of European architecture, in the form of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
The Cua Bac Church, located on Phan Dinh Phuc Road, was designed by a French architect. It was built in 1931-1932. The work does not follow the rules of symmetry and has a high bell tower on the right.
The Ham Long Church on Ham Long street was designed by a Vietnamese architect, Doctor Than, who studied in France. It was completed in 1934.
The work is not too complicated but it has a vast campus and it was built with local materials.
Phung Church is located on the road of the same name. It was built in 1910.
This work is in the neoclassical architectural style of France.
Thinh Liet Church is located on Giap Bat Road. It was also designed by Doctor Than and built in 1911.
The church has an asymmetric structure, with Gothic style and Vietnamese-styled red tile roofs.
