VietNamNet Bridge – Artisan Le Duc Vy, 63, from Da Nang city, has been recognized as the first Vietnamese who can “print” color pictures on stone, using a digital technique.
After more than ten years of research, this talented artist has completed the technique to print color images on rock.
According
to Vy, to print color pictures on rock, the artisan needs to have
general knowledge on painting, photography, IT, electronics, etc.
Vy completes a rock painting by covering the work with a protective layer.
Vy said he would “print” pictures on other materials, for example dry leaves.
To
have a place to promote his works widely, Vy recently opened a showroom
located on the campus of the Museum of Cham (Da Nang). His works are
also on display in HCM City.
