The tournament commenced on June 12 with the initial groups teeing off at 6:00 a.m. across holes 1 and 10. However, inclement weather disrupted play, preventing some groups from completing their full 18 holes.

Tanapat Pichaikool showcased a stellar performance, carding 7 birdies despite a late bogey on the last hole of his round, securing him the top spot temporarily.

Tied for second place at (-5) are Park Sang Ho from Korea, Natipong Srithong from Thailand, and Pukhraj Singh Gill from India. Notably, Pukhraj Singh Gill's group was among those unable to finish round 1.

Leading the charge for the Vietnamese contingent is Nguyen Anh Minh, the defending champion from Vietnam Masters 2023. Competing alongside Siddikur Rahman from Bangladesh and Natipong Srithong, Nguyen Anh Minh posted a solid score of (-3) after 18 holes, placing him 9th temporarily.

Two other Vietnamese golfers, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Nguyen Tuan Kiet, also finished the day under par with scores of (-2), sharing 17th place on the leaderboard.

Action resumes on June 13 with athletes completing round 1 before proceeding to round 2. The top 50 players based on cumulative scores after two rounds will advance to the final round scheduled for June 14, vying for the championship title.
