Tan Son Nhat airport was upgraded last year but it is still among the worst airports in Asia this year, according to The Guide to Sleeping in Airports.
According to the site, the infrastructure of Tan Son Nhat Airport has deteriorated in recent years and some passengers reported that customs officials demanded bribes if they wanted faster customs clearance.
Passengers also complained about weak wifi signals, dirty toilets and limited choices in restaurants.
The advice given by this website is that passengers should be careful about their valuable property and hold only a small amount of money in their hand.
Meanwhile, Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi ranks 28th of the 30 best airports in Asia. Last year it was on the list of the worst airports in the region.
According to The Guide to Sleeping in Airports, from January 2015, the T2 terminal was put into operation at Noi Bai to better serve international flights. The terminal is spacious, modern, airy and clean. Passengers can find a place to sleep easily, on the quite comfortable benches.
Along with Noi Bai, Da Nang Airport in the central city of Da Nang, is ranked 23rd in the 30 best airports in Asia. Last year this airport was also in the group of the best airports.

Mr. Lai Xuan Thanh, Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV), said that although infrastructure and services at Tan Son Nhat Airport had significantly improved, congestion on the runways and at aviation procedure stalls were tiring for customers.
Thanh said he had not received information about corruption related to customs officers.
"We note any idea of the passengers, so we are considering comments on website The Guide to Sleeping in Airports about Tan Son Nhat Airport to take measures to improve the situation," he said.
