Ke Moc is the name of a residential area on the south bank of the To Lich River, southwest of Thang Long citadel - Hanoi. This is home to the five villages, which now belong to the two districts of Thanh Xuan and Nam Tu Liem.

The festival of each village is held every year after Lunar New Year. Every five years, they hold a joint festival, which is hosted turn by turn, with many attractive rituals and performances to process the saints (Village Saint) to enjoy the scenery of the five villages and pray for national peace and prosperity. The festival is held at the communal house of the five villages. Each communal house worships its own village saint.

Five traditional villages in the capital city of Hanoi, namely Quan Nhan, Chinh Kinh, Cu Loc, Giap Nhat and Phung Khoang, organized their annual spring village after nearly 10 years. At 5:30 a.m., the procession of Phung Khoang village departed and passed through Nguyen Trai Street.
As a rule, people of the five villages hold a joint procession ritual once every five years. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival was canceled. The event attracted a large number of attendees.
As the road was given over to the procession, Nguyen Trai Street was disorderly this morning.
After a short distance, the procession carriers sped up. Attendees also cheered and chased after the procession.
"I’m so tired but everyone is excited because the festival is only held once every 5 years. Today my family takes a break from work to follow the procession," a woman said.
At 8:30am, the procession gathered on Quan Nhan street. Young men turned the palanquins many times while the crowd cheered loudly.
According to custom, when the saints on the palanquins group up, carriers have to turn the palanquins around to show that the saints are greeting each other and are happy to be reunited.
Towards the end of the process, some palanquin carriers became tired.
