King Dinh Tien Hoang was the founder of the Dinh dynasty and Dai Co Viet country. He put down a revolt to unite the country and became the first emperor of Vietnam after 1,000 years of Chinese domination. The 900-m Dinh Tien Hoang Street runs around the east to the north of Hoan Kiem Lake.

King Tran Thai Tong (1218 - 1277) was the first king of the Tran dynasty. He stayed on the throne for 32 years (1225-1258) and was the King’s father for 19 years. Tran Thai Tong Street is in Cau Giay district, with a length of about 2,000 m.

Hung Kings were the kings who ruled the state of Van Lang of Lac Viet people. According to legend, Hung Kings were the descendants of Lac Long Quan and Au Co. Hung Vuong Road passes through the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh District, with a length of 1.180m.

King Quang Trung (1753 - 1792) was the second emperor of the Tay Son Dynasty. He was on the throne from 1788 to 1792. He was one of the country’s most brilliant political and military leaders, with excellent reforms in Vietnam’s history and famous battles in the war against foreign invaders. The 1,100m Quang Trung Street is in Hanoi’s center, which extends from Nha Chung Street to Tran Nhan Tong Street.

King Tran Nhan Tong (1258 - 1308) was the third king of the Tran dynasty. He stayed on the throne for 15 years (1278-1293) and was the King’s father for 15 years. He was the founder of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect. He is hailed as one of the wisest kings in the history of Vietnam. Tran Nhan Tong Street is approximately 2,000 m, located in Hai Ba Trung district.

King Le Thai To or Le Loi was the initiator of the Lam Son insurrection, who defeated the Ming invaders to become the first king of the Later Le dynasty, the longest dynasty in the history of Vietnam. King Le Thai To held power for almost six years. Le Thai To Street runs along the bank of Hoan Kiem Lake, with a length of 1,500 m, in Hoan Kiem district.

The Hai Ba Trung (Trung Sisters) is the common name for Trung Trac and Trung Nhi, two national heroines. Hai Ba Trung launched a war of resistance against the Chinese invaders. They founded a nation with Me Linh as the capital. After the uprising was defeated by the Han army, they jumped into the river to commit suicide. Hai Ba Trung Street, which is about 3,000 meters long, is located in Hoan Kiem district.

King Le Thanh Tong was the fifth emperor of the Le dynasty, who ruled from 1460 - 1497. He was best known to bring Dai Viet country to the heyday of feudalism. He is also regarded as a cultural expert and a seriously talented leader. Le Thanh Tong Street has a length of 558m, and is located in Hoan Kiem District.

Phung Hung was the leader of the uprising against the rule of the Tang Dynasty in northern Vietnam (602-905). He expelled foreign invaders for a period of time and held power. Phung Hung Street has a length of 1,200 meters, in Hoan Kiem district.

Emperor Ham Nghi was the eighth emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty, the last feudal dynasty in the history of Vietnam. Ham Nghi, along with Thanh Thai and Duy Tan, are considered to be the three patriotic kings in French colonial times. Ham Nghi Street, 700m in length, is in Tu Liem district.
