At around 3 pm on Monday, the airport staff saw a dog running into Runway 35R. The case was reported to security who had to drive the animal away. 

When being chased, the dog ran onto taxiways E7 and E4, but was quickly caught.

At the same time, flight VN173 of Vietnam Airlines was about to land at Runway 35R. So, the arrival had to be delayed until 3.17 pm, 19 minutes later than scheduled.

The flight then landed successfully at 3.26 pm.

Earlier, a plane flying from HCM City to the northern central province of Thanh Hoa was also delayed landing due to a stray dog on an empty apron.
