According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, early this morning, July 2, the tropical depression was around 190 kilometres northeast of the Paracel Islands with a wind speed of 40-60 kilometres per hour.

Within the next 24 hours, the tropical depression has been forecasted to move west-northwest at a speed of 10 kilometres per hour and can develop into a storm.

The storm would then continue moving west-northwest in the day after that at 15 kilometres per hour.

By early of July 4, the storm has been predicted to ravage the northern localities from Nam Dinh to Quang Ninh provinces. The strongest wind speed could reach 60-75 kilometres per hour.
