Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, Chief of Office at the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, informed VietNamNet that the ministry has instructed the Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information to look into the recent social media uproar involving music producer ViruSs.
In recent days, social networks have been abuzz with discussions surrounding ViruSs’s alleged romantic entanglements. The controversy intensified after a livestream featuring ViruSs and rapper Phao sparked heated reactions. Many have questioned whether the behavior of public figures online aligns with the Ministry's established code of conduct for artists and influencers.
During the livestream, Phao confronted ViruSs over suspicions of infidelity. ViruSs described his relationship with Phao as "dating before officially falling in love - if it doesn’t work out, we end it."
In contrast, Phao insisted their relationship was serious and accused him of cheating for privately spending time with social media personality Ngoc Kem. The livestream attracted 1.4 million live viewers and quickly went viral across various platforms.
Following Phao’s on-air confrontation with ViruSs, Ngoc Kem also went live, voicing her frustration and accusing ViruSs of disrespect. She claimed she felt “unacknowledged and unclear about her role in the relationship.”
As the controversy escalated, numerous online posts speculated about how much the individuals involved might have earned from the livestreams, raising concerns that the drama could be a calculated “toxic PR campaign.”
