The routes will link the city centre to Lang Bian mountain, Tuyen Lam Lake, Love Valley, the Central Highland Biological Institute and Lien Khuong Airport, across a total length of up to 90km.

The estimated expense for the project is about VND42,000 billion (US$2.1 million), mobilised from private sponsors.

The project will involve installing a mono-railway, which will carry six-carriage trains to run at speeds of 30-40km per hour.

The once famed 84km-long railway route linking Thap Cham (in the central province of Phan Rang) and Da Lat will be restored at the cost of VND3,900 billion ($1.45 million).

The Thap Cham – Da Lat route will be completed by 2015.
