Huong Khe District People's Court in the central province of Ha Tinh on Thursday sentenced six local people to a total of 66 months in prison for violating “regulations on protection of endangered, precious and rare animals”.

 VietNamNet Bridge – Central Nha Trang City People’s Court on Monday sentenced a wildlife trafficker to four-and-a-half years in prison for smuggling and processing more than 10 tonnes of sea turtle.

A man who illegally purchased around 7,000 dead sea turtles several years ago is expected to be sentenced to two to seven years in prison, a more severe punishment than what was proposed last year. 

 VietNamNet Bridge - On July 15 Khanh Hoa Court sentenced Nguyen Viet Truong, 57, former director of Song Ma Co., Ltd., who laid a mine at the home of Khanh Hoa police director, to 23 years in prison.
