On the afternoon of October 9, the preliminary round of the Grand Voice - Singing Talent competition took place in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring 72 contestants from around the world showcasing creative musical performances and strong vocal abilities along with captivating choreography.
In the first round, Vietnam's representative, Vo Le Que Anh, stood out on stage in a stunning short fringed dress. She delivered a lively performance of the English song "Like That" by the Korean group BabyMonster and impressed the audience with her skilled rap delivery. This explosive performance earned Que Anh a spot in the Top 30, allowing her to advance to the second round.

After the performance, Mr. Nawat, the Chairman of Miss Grand International, referred to her as a singer, but Que Anh immediately denied this title. He praised her talents and expressed hopes that she would become a great singer in the future.
In the second round, Que Anh chose to perform the gentle and heartfelt song "Everytime We Touch." Although she appeared slightly out of breath and a bit shaky, she still managed to secure a place in the Top 15. Previously, she had reached the Top 5 in the Grand Voice competition at Miss Grand Vietnam 2024.
The Top 15 in the Grand Voice category includes: Vietnam, the UK, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Norway, Greenland, Trinidad & Tobago, the USA, France, Kosovo, Malaysia, Canada, Venezuela, Hong Kong (China), and the Philippines.
Several representatives also delivered impressive performances. Prema Lamgade from Nepal showcased her powerful vocals, while Engjellushe Zhuniqi from Kosovo, a 26-year-old singer, enchanted the audience with her sweet and emotional singing.
Miss Grand Ivory Coast, Aya Kadjo, made a strong impression with her stylish appearance and delivered a song inspired by the competition.
However, many contestants at Miss Grand International 2024 faced challenges in the Grand Voice round due to less polished performances, as singing is not their strong suit.
After arriving in Thailand from Cambodia on the evening of October 7, the contestants toured Bangkok, visiting Wat Arun temple and enjoying a dinner cruise on the luxurious Meridian Cruise.
The contestants of Miss Grand International 2024 will continue their journey with a series of activities in Pattaya, Chonburi Province, from October 11 to 16. There, they will participate in various events and promote local culture and tourism. Afterward, the contestants will return to Bangkok to prepare for upcoming preliminary events leading to the grand finale on October 25.
The representative of Vietnam at this competition is Vo Le Que Anh, Miss Grand Vietnam 2024. Born in 2001 and hailing from Quang Nam, she previously won the title of Miss Hue University 2020, reached the Top 40 in Miss Vietnam 2020, and was First Runner-up in the Miss Tourism Da Nang 2022 contest. She graduated with a degree in Korean Language and Culture from Hue University.
