Cua Luc undersea tunnel project will has a total investment capital of USD417.7 million

Cua Luc tunnel is designed to have six lanes with a total length of 2.75 kilometres, running from Ha Long Street in Bai Chay Ward to Le Thanh Tong Street in Hon Gai Ward. 

Vu Van Hop, spokesman of the provincial people’s committee, said local authorities have proposed to the government the project investment plan.

The province will save its budget spending by 2025 to ensure enough the project’s investment. This means that the province needs to save around VND2 trillion annually.

The project is aimed to ease traffic pressure for National Highway 18A, Bai Chay Bridge as well as the inner-city areas. Traffic that currently uses Bai Chay Bridge would no longer be affected by bad weather.
