VietNamNet Bridge – Foreigners have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese traditional art performances at a programme entitled ‘The Soul of Vietnam’, which is a weekly event at the Hanoi Opera House every Monday starting from July 1.
The programme, organised by the Me Cong Artists Joint Stock Company, introduces audiences to unique and time-honoured art forms of the Vietnamese people, including Chau Van (spiritual singing), Cai Luong (reformed theatre) and bamboo pole dance.
The event is designed to preserve and promote Vietnamese traditional cultural heritages and advertise the country’s cultural identities to foreign friends.
Tickets to the event are priced at VND800,000 (US$38) for adults and VND400,000 (US$19) for children and can be collected at the Hanoi Opera House, No.1 Trang Tien street.
The programme has been successfully organised in Ho Chi Minh City since January 2011 and has received enthusiastic appreciation from the audiences.
