The Government Office has just released the conclusions of the Standing Government regarding the results of inspection missions tasked with reviewing and removing bottlenecks in major transportation projects scheduled for completion in 2025 to help fulfill the 3,000 km expressway goal.
Accordingly, the development of transportation infrastructure is considered a politically significant task that supports broader objectives such as disbursement of public investment, economic development, and job creation for citizens and businesses alike.
Following the establishment of seven special inspection teams to review and address difficulties in priority transport projects, progress has been made on multiple fronts.
The Prime Minister has instructed all ministries, sectors, and local authorities to ensure the completion of the North–South expressway route, running from Cao Bang to Ca Mau, by 2025.
To support this, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested the Ministry of Construction and other relevant ministries to assign one deputy minister to be directly responsible for each project. These appointed officials must proactively conduct on-site inspections and address project-specific challenges in a timely manner.
Ministries, local authorities, and contractors are expected to promptly eliminate roadblocks and apply appropriate solutions. Any issues beyond their authority must be escalated to higher levels for resolution. At the same time, efforts to prevent waste, corruption, and misconduct must be strictly enforced throughout project implementation.
