VietNamNet Bridge - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a decision to appoint deputy ministers for the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the deputy governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.

Mr. Le Quang Hung, Director of the State Inspection for Construction Quality, has been appointed Deputy Minister of Construction; Mr. Nguyen Khanh Ngoc, Head of the International Law Department of the Ministry of Justice, has been promoted as the Deputy Minister of Justice; Mr. Phan Chi Hieu, Rector of the Hanoi University of Law, is now the Deputy Minister of Justice; Mr. Pham Cong Tac, Director of the Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, has been assigned as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Head of the Monetary Policy Department of the State Bank of Vietnam, has been appointed as the deputy governor of the central bank.

The newly appointed Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung is 52 years old, a native of Phu Tho province who holds a doctoral degree in construction techniques. Mr. Hung previously held the positions of Deputy Director and Director of the State Inspection for Construction Quality of the Ministry of Construction.

Nguyen Khanh Ngoc, 50, a native of Hanoi, has held various positions: Deputy Director of the International Law Department, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, Head of the International Cooperation Department and Head of the International Law Department of the Ministry of Justice.

Phan Chi Hieu, 45, from Ninh Binh province formerly was Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Justice, Director of the Judicial Academy and Principal of the Hanoi Law University.

Vice Minister Pham Cong Tac, 52, a native of Nam Dinh, previously was the Head of Internal Science and Technology Division of the Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Deputy Chief and Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, 46, from Hanoi, was previously Head of the International Balance of Payments Division of the Monetary Policy Department, and Deputy Director and Director of the Monetary Policy Department of the State Bank of Vietnam.

The decision took effect on August 16.
