A frame from the viral video shows the preschool teacher lifting the toddler by one leg and beating them repeatedly.

On the evening of April 11, Phan Quoc Manh, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Que My Commune (Que Son District, Quang Nam Province), confirmed that local authorities are aware of and have directed the commune police to investigate a shocking case involving a preschool teacher repeatedly beating a 20-month-old child.

That evening, a disturbing video clip circulated widely on Facebook, capturing the brutal assault of a young child by a female preschool teacher.

Footage from the video shows the incident occurred around 11:55 a.m. on April 11. At that time, several toddlers were lying down for their midday nap when a young teacher approached a storage cabinet and retrieved an object resembling a ruler.

She then walked over to a child, grabbed one of the child’s legs and lifted it upside down, repeatedly striking the child’s body with the object.

In the same post, a Facebook user with the account name T.T. expressed outrage: "At this preschool in Que My, Que Son, they lock the door during nap time and beat the kids. When I picked up my child and saw marks on their face, I asked the teacher, and she said it was from bumping into the bed frame.

My child has only been at this daycare for about a month, and we haven’t been allowed to check the camera. Another parent happened to catch this on video. What if no one saw this? What else might they be doing to our kids? I thought things like this didn’t happen in the countryside, but now it’s happening to my own child. She’s just 20 months old..."

Within just a few hours of being posted, the video had garnered hundreds of thousands of views, comments, and shares. Many viewers expressed outrage over the teacher’s violent behavior towards such a young child.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
