The house of the debtors.

Earlier, at around 9.30pm on April 22, hundreds of curious people stood on the sidewalks of Hai Ba Trung Street, in front of the house No. 158 to witness creditors “attacking” the house of the debtors – a rich couple – with lubricant oil.

That house is owned by Mr. Vu Ngoc Tinh, 60 and his wife - Dang Thi Thanh, 59.

People living in this neighborhood said for the past 2-3 years, this couple has been known for their black credit ring. They mobilized capital from locals, including public servants, at very high interest rates. It is estimated that the couple raised a few hundreds of billion (millions of US dollars).

For the last one week, there were six war invalids coming to the house to claim debts. Every day, from early morning, these people had been present in front of the house, placing their wheelchairs on the pavement. They stayed there until midnight. These people seem to understand the law because they did not make noise.

At about 9pm on April 22, besides the six war invalids, nine young men appeared in front of the house. The rumors of the couple’s black credit insolvency was quickly spread. Many other creditors quickly came to the house, causing traffic jams in the area. The police of Le Chan district were quickly on the scene to ensure security and order.

At the scene, the house was locked inside. Some creditors who could not get into the house threw lubricant oil, water, etc. onto the door. The police dismissed the crowd, took the house owner – Dang Thi Thanh – to the police station for investigation and sealed the house.

The police are investigating the case and have called victims of this black credit ring to report their cases to the police.
