VietNamNet Bridge – Nine out of the 40 victims injured in the accident in the northern port city of Hai Phong on Monday have shown signs of recovery while undergoing treatment at the Viet-Tiep Friendship Hospital.

Forty people, including foreigners, were injured on Manday when a truck hit the side of a passenger bus at the three-way crossroads in front of the Hai Phong New Port in Hai An District.

The remaining victims have since been discharged from the hospital.

Hoang Dinh Mich, director of the hospital, said most of the victims had suffered minor trauma to head, arms and legs.

A truck hit the side of the passenger bus on Monday at the three-way crossroads in front of the Hai Phong New Port in Hai An District. The bus, which was running from Cat Ba resort to Hai Phong City, was thrown 15 metres.
