VietNamNet Bridge – The police forces on April 3 shot to death one and arrested four drug traffickers in the northern province of Hoa Binh, seizing over 7kg of heroin, 1,000 pills of synthetic drugs and 1kg of ectasy.

According to the authority, the four drug traffickers, including one woman and three men, transported the above volume of drugs on two cars, with Hanoi’s registration numbers.

In Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, they were surrounded and asked to stop by the police. However the drug traffickers did not stop but sped up the cars to crash into the police’s vehicles, damaging three police vehicles.

After running for several kilometers at very high speed, the car of drug traffickers lost control and fell into a sugar cane field along the road. The police called them to surrender but they entrenched in the car and used weapons to oppose.

To ensure the safety of police officers, the task force was forced to shoot, killing one - Le Minh Hue, 25, residing in Thanh Tri district, Ha Noi – and injuring two others – Do Huy Hoang (Hue’s husband, 37) and Pham Van Dong, 40, residing in Tu Liem district, Hanoi.

Two others were arrested, including Dang Viet Dung, 30, in Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi and Nguyen Cong Thu, 41, in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi.
