VietNamNet Bridge - Organized by the Vietnam Military History Museum, Vietnamese Association of Historical Science and Heritage Club House, the exhibition honors outstanding Vietnamese generals from various historical periods through sculptures, lacquer, oil on canvas, watercolor and applied fine arts.
Numerous images will be shown in public for the first time, giving visitors the chance to view the works of famous painters such as Ha Huy Le, Nguyen Doan Son, Tran Tuan Long and Phan Ke An.
The exhibition marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army in 1944. It will run until January 5 at the Exhibition Hall, 45 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.
During the event, visitors will have a chance to talk with artists, historians and senior army officials.
Some outstanding works at the exhibition:
A silicon statue featuring General Vo Nguyen Giap by Tran Van Thuc. This work was exhibited at the Museum of Military History in April 2014.
