Phuong My, one of Vietnam’s premier designers, recently made her debut at New York Fashion Week in the United States by launching her latest fashion collection titled “Sayonara”.
The “Sayonara” fashion line marks Vietnamese designer Phuong My’s debut at New York Fashion Week. The prestigious event is widely considered among the four largest fashion weeks in the world. White, red, and black are the key colours which make up the “Sayonara” collection. The red colour of the collection symbolises love, desire, and passion. Silk is the main material used in the collection. The material had been imported from Italy and Japan. The silk used on the outfits helps to bring out the charm of the models. One of Phuong My’s unique designs features Japanese Origami, the art of folding paper into decorative shapes or figures. After Cong Tri, Phuong My became the second Vietnamese designer to introduce a collection at New York Fashion Week. The launch of her collection is a proud landmark for Vietnam’s fashion industry in a global context. |
