This will be Manalo’s first visit to Vietnam to promote the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Founded in 1994, the Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between Vietnam and the Philippines serves as a forum for the two countries to comprehensively and substantively examine cooperation in all areas, as well as other strategic issues of mutual concern.
During the 10th meeting in Hanoi this time, both sides are expected to review the results of bilateral cooperation from the ninth meeting and hammer out measures to ramp up cooperation in areas such as trade-investment, defense-security, education, agriculture and aquaculture.
They will also touch upon regional and international issues of mutual concern.
