The schedule will see the French manager arrive in Vietnam on February 26 before attending an event held by VFF to mark his official appointment as new head coach the following day.
The first task of the new coach is to lead the U23 Vietnam at the coming the 32nd SEA Games due to take place in Cambodia in May.
It will take Troussier time to select potential players for the national lineup as only players born on or after January 1, 2001, (those aged 22 and below) are eligible for the SEA Games campaign as announced by hosts Cambodia.
Meanwhile, the senior national team will gather for a training camp on March 12. The official list of footballers will feature some familiar faces who have played a key role under the management of former head coach Park Hang-seo.
However, several players such as Van Toan, Quang Hai, and Cong Phuong will not attend as they are playing for foreign clubs.
Troussier was born on March 21, 1955 in Paris (France). Known as a seasoned football expert, he has served as head coach at various teams around the world at both club and national teams.
Recently, he spent three years working in Vietnam as a strategic adviser and then technical director at the Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talent (PVF) Academy before leading the Vietnam U19 team to qualify for the 2020 AFC U-19 Championship.
